Abstract: (481 Views)
Klebsiella pneumoniae, as a gram-negative bacterium, rarely causes infective endocarditis. In this study, a 71-year-old patient with diagnosis of mitral valve infectious endocarditis by K. pneumonia, through a blood culture test and chest X-ray, was reported. Unfortunately, due to severe bilateral pulmonary infiltration, the patient went into septic shock and expired.
