In times of crisis, medical universities assume responsibilities beyond their conventional missions and serve as key pillars in responding to societal needs and strengthening resilience. This article discusses the key roles of medical universities, the major challenges affecting the fulfillment of these roles, and proposed strategies to enhance their effectiveness in crisis situations.
